Product DeScription:

Data I/O, the world’s leading provider of manual and automated programming solutions, is pleased to introduce ConneXTM Smart Programming Software for Data I/O’s PSV7000, PSV5000 and PSV3000 automated programming systems.   ConneXTM software integrates Data I/O’s PSV automated programming systems into customers’ manufacturing systems. ConneX software tracks, records and extracts detailed tranScript of the programming job for each device in real-time including programming performance, device characteristics, programming system details for comprehensive component level traceability. ConneX brings offline automated programming into smart manufacturing initiative delivering highest quality, efficiency and traceability.   ConneX is:

  • Architected to easily integrats into factory environments to support Smart Factory / Industry 4.0 initiatives.
    • Customizable xml data gives the customer control over data collected and tracked during the programming process
    • Comprehensive programming data is extracted into an standards-based XML file for easy integration into MES (Manufacturing execution System), SPC (Statistical Process Control Software) or other Factory systems to be used in further analysis or to link the programmed device to the customers product ID in manufacturing.
  • Developed is easily manage programming process for data-driven decision making.
    • Customers can aggregate programming data in real-time including programming yield, socket life-time count and failure data for use in predictive analytics
    • ConneX tracks programming yield enabling customers to quickly improve efficiency
    • ConneX collects and passes data up to the ConneX Attendent Server enabling customers to monitor the programming process in real time and take quick action when necessary
  • Engineered for comprehensive traceability
    • Component level programming history is captured and tracked for extensive traceability
    • Customers protect their IP with job auditing data

o   Customize the data they want with the field labels they need to easily integrate component level data into the larger factory system.

o   Develop customized dashboards to monitor and manage the programming process

  • ConneX is a web-based software application enabling customers to remotely monitor the programming performance including program, verify, overhead time on their PSV systems in real-time.
  • ConneX is supported on all of Data I/O’s PSV Family including PSV7000, PSV5000 and PSV3000.
  • ConneX also tracks component level data for customers using the FlashCORE III programming engine or the LumenX programming engine for a cost-effective solution for customers using both FlashCORE III and LumenX programming engines.

Speed/throughput improvements:

ConneX monitors programming performance and programming yield in real time. This enables customers to use predictive analytics for early maintenance and system efficiency improvements delivering higher production throughput.

Quality contribution:

ConneX is developed to track the complete programming history of each programmed device to meet comprehensive traceability requirements. The programming history data tracked includes:

  • specific silicon device identifier information,
  • specific adapter and specific socket used to program a device,
  • programming alogorithm version
  • programming job data
  • specific programmer (FlashCORE and IP and/or LumenX and IP) used in the PSV system
  • specific PSV system used (factory name, machine and system name) and
  • date/time device programmed

In addition, ConneX monitors the programming performance and programming yield in real time. Customers can develop custom applications to alert them when the programming performance, programming yield and failure data falls below their threshold enabling customers to maintain their automated programming systems for optimal performance and quality.

Customers who require the highest level of traceability can integrate the ConneX data into their MES, SPC or factory systems to link the history of the preprogrammed device to the history of the board/product it is placed on through the entire manufacturing process.

Cost benefits:

ConneX Smart Programming Software enables customers to improve production efficiency and minimize downtime reducing their manufacturing costs. Customers can aggregate the programming history data in real-time for use in predictive analytics. Customers can use this data for predictive maintenance:

  • Monitor socket insertion and lifetime count to properly clean and maintain sockets extending their life
  • Monitor programming yield and performance to reduce scrap
  • ConneX Supports both FlashCORE III and LumenX programming engines on the PSV7000, PSV5000 and PSV3000 saving cost of multiple software applications
  • ConneX data is exported in an standards based XML format enabling customers to easily integrate the data into third party systems and databases for more extensive analysis. Since XML is a common programming format customers do not need to learn Data I/O’s proprietary API’s to extract the data they require.

Environmental consideration:

  • ConneX enables customers to integrate Data I/O’s PSV offline automated programming systems into their overall factory environment as part of their Industry 4.0 / Smart Factory initiative to streamline their production. Additionally, ConneX
  • Reduces customers scrap and waste by monitoring the programming performance and yield in real-time
  • ConneX is a software installation on customers’ existing PSV system and servers requiring no additional hardware to be purchased.

Ease of use:

  • ConneX is designed to enable customers to easily integrate the tracked programming data from a standards based XML file into a third party systems.
  • ConneX does not require customers to use API’s to extract programming data reducing the time it takes to integrate the ConneX programming history data into other factory systems and databases.
  • ConneX is a web-based application with an intuitive navigation enabling customers to easily edit and customize their data templates, manage user access and monitor the programming performance in real time.

Expected maintainability/repair ability:

ConneX Smart Programming Software enables customers to maintain their PSV automated programming for highest efficiency. In addition, ConneX software is designed with redundant date storage to ensure the programming device data is never lost in case of an unexpected power shut down or an interruption in communication. Customers can aggregate the programming performance and programming yield data for use in predictive maintenance analytics.   Also, with over 60 trained service and support engineers worldwide and support offices in Europe, Americas and Asia customers receive 24/7 support.
